ADULT SINGLES CLUB OF SARASOTA/MANATEE CO. INC.
As our name indicates, we are a Singles Club. To be allowed to attend and/or to join you must be either: Never Married, Divorced or Widowed. If you meet a person at our dance, you have the right to assume they are single. However, we do have Alumni who attend as guests; they met while they both were members of our club, married, and now continue to dance with their friends.
ENTRANCE TABLE: The doors to the ballroom open at 7:00 PM. Please have your (up-to-date) membership card ready to show to the person who is collecting the donation (Members $ 7.00, for Guests - $ 10.00) If you arrive after 10 PM, you must see the person in charge of the concession stand. No one is allowed to get in free.
BOARD MEETINGS: For 2009 will be every month on the 3rd Wednesday Place: Gulf Gate Library, 7112 Curtiss Ave. Sarasota, FL. 34231. Board meetings start at 6:00pm, board & members’ meeting starts at 7:15pm. We encourage the members to attend, either to observe or to discuss a particular topic. However, if you need to have a discussion, please notify the President Kay Parker.
Members: Anytime you bring a new male guest, (one who has never been to our dances before) you as a member, will be admitted free for that evening.
BIRTHDAY CAKES: Will be served the last Saturday of every month before the raffle ticket numbers are announced. We celebrate everyone’s birthday for this month. Please respect people whose birthdays are in this month to be served first. Birthday-Month-Members will be admitted free for this evening only, show your drivers license and your membership card please. No rainchecks if you miss this date.
SCHOLARSHIP: Please remember to support our scholarship fund by buying raffle tickets. It is very difficult for single parents and need our help in financing an education within the medical science field at the Manatee Community College. Raffle Tickets are being sold at 9:00pm.
PHOTOGRAPHY: On special occasions and also by special request, Rosa will be glad to take your picture. It takes a week for processing, and to cover the cost we ask for $1.00 per print.
DRESS CODE: We take pride in our appearance: Ladies wear: Nice Dresses, or Dressy Pants Suits. ( Short Skirts more than 4 inches above the knee, including slits, are not permitted. )
Gentlemen wear: Suits with or without ties, dressy shirt, Sport Coats with trousers. ( Knit shirts without a collar are not appropriate.) Not allowed: Jeans, Shorts, T-shirts, Tennis Shoes, Flip - flops or slides. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to anyone not complying with this code. Members - don’t forget to tell all your single friends about our dances. Every Saturday night from 8:00 to 11:00 PM - 2100 Laurel St., Sarasota, Florida 34237.
